Our exposure to indoor air pollutants has led to many health problems ranging from headaches to death as a result of exposure to mold. This course will teach you how to determine the location and extent of mold or suspected mold present in a facility. Lead Remodeling, Repair and Painting ETI Course - May 11, 2009
This course was developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to train renovation, remodeling, and painting contractors to work safely in housing with lead-based paint.

Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Refresher ETI Course - May 12, 2009
During this 1-day course, you receive a regulatory review and update on new asbestos legislation pertinent to asbestos contractors/supervisors. Beneficial features of this course include experienced instructors who personally train smaller student workgroups, as well as an overview of OSHA, AHERA, NESHAP, work practices, safety, and air monitoring which gives you the opportunity to interact with your peers and course instructors. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of re-accreditation as an Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor.

Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner Refresher ETI Course - May 13, 2009
This 1-day course combines the morning ½-day inspector refresher course (8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon) with the afternoon ½-day of management planner course (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM). The first half of the day reviews the inspector’s role in asbestos abatement, and the second half focuses on the management planner’s role in asbestos hazard assessment, response actions and operations and maintenance programs. Upon successful completion of the each course, you will receive a certificate of reaccreditation as an Asbestos Inspector and an Asbestos Management Planner.
Note: It is not possible to register only for the management planner refresher.

Lead Supervisor Initial ETI Course - May 18 - 21, 2009
This class focuses on training lead-based paint abatement contractors and their onsite supervisors in all critical aspects of successfully conducting a lead abatement project. In addition to the techniques of abatement, particular emphasis will be placed on worker protection and safety, and the critical importance of cleanup and waste disposal issues.

Lead Project Design Initial ETI Course - May 22, 2009
This course presents the EPA model curriculum for lead project designer as described in EPA and state regulations. This curriculum focuses on target housing, such as child-occupied facilities and multi-family housing, and other large-scale abatement projects such as public buildings. The certified Project Designer can interpret lead inspection or risk assessment reports and develop plans, specifications, and project procedures for lead abatement projects. The design process includes occupant notification and protection, clean-up and clearance, and the final abatement report.

Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner Initial ETI Course - June 1 - 5, 2009
The asbestos inspector course is a 3-day course that includes lectures, demonstrations, and 4 hours of hands-on training. Completing the course and passing the 50-question exam will make you a USEPA/AHERA-certified inspector. The asbestos management planner course is a 2-day training course. You must be an accredited inspector before you can be accredited as a management planner. The management planner course is required under AHERA for persons who prepare asbestos management plans for schools.

Asbestos Management Planner Initial ETI Course - June 4 - 5, 2009
This initial 2-day course has approval by the EPA and various states to meet AHERA accreditation requirements for management planners performing asbestos work in public and private, K-12 schools, as well as in public and commercial buildings. During the course you learn how to utilize the inspectors’ findings and develop a working management plan for a facility. Management planners are required by the EPA to develop operations and maintenance plans. Inspectors cannot develop these programs. Detailed consideration is given to hazard assessment and selection of control options. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of accreditation as an asbestos management planner.

Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial ETI Course - June 8 - 12, 2009
This initial 5-day course has been granted full approval by the EPA and various States to meet AHERA and ASHARA accreditation requirements for contractors/supervisors performing asbestos work in K-12 schools, as well as in public and commercial buildings. You receive intensive and practical instruction on asbestos abatement projects, from start to finish. You will tackle 14 hours of hands-on abatement exercises. Safe work practices, liability, and glove bag procedures are examined in detail. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of accreditation as an Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor under TSCA Title II/AHERA.
